What a long day! You know how, when you have somewhere important to be and need a good night's sleep you end up having the worst night ever? No? Well it happens to me and last night was the worst. It snowed all day yesterday and I was due to go up to London before 8am this morning, so when the alarm finally went at 6am I just wanted to put my head under the pillow and stay there. However, I had given my word, and the hospital need patients for the exam preparation course, so get up I must.
Claire was also getting an early-ish train so we walked down the hill together. I was surprised it wasn't icier and slippier. Luckily there was still quite a lot of snow and my boots had lots of grip.
To cut a long story short, I got a train at 7.30 AND I got a seat, so I was at the hospital just after 8am. I then spent all day telling my story 12 times, interspersed with many cups of tea and a nice hot lunch, and then grabbed a train back at 5.15pm. Trudged back up the hill, put the heating up and snuggled with the cat, and now I'm feeling rather under the weather and ready for my bed. Not sure if I'm coming down with something or just exhausted, so I thought I'd just say hi... and get an early night.
Ok, so I only took one picture today - lunch at the hospital. It was COLD in that atrium!
