Can it really have been a week since my sister arrived? Well, after the fun of last weekend I did what everyone predicted and spent a couple of days in bed recovering. It still rankles that I get so tired, but at least this time it was worth it, and I was prepared for the aftershock. I kept going on adrenaline until Tuesday afternoon and then I wasn't capable of anything. Wednesday I couldn't get out of bed and Thursday I mooched around the house.
Today, however, I got picked up at lunchtime to go and take photos of a friend's newborn little girl and oh what a lovely time I had. Every time she decided she needed another feed I was able to take a little rest, and we had lunch while we waited for her to settle, so it was a very enjoyable few hours. I will just post one here because I haven't had time to process them, but she is so sweet I can't resist a sneak peek..... before I go and collapse in bed.
My sister Jackie knitted some darling little hats for me to use as props, and this one has the sweetest little topknot in it - not that you can see it on this particular crop. Anyway, the parents were game for all kinds of fun and little E was just adorable. Just 2 weeks old and I think I'm in love. Again. Although I was glad to hand her back and say bye bye for now.
Nite nite!
