I got up early to make sure DD was up in time for French, then we went off to pick up another car for the OH, and by then it was time for my dental appointment. Oh, nothing painful (not much anyway!) - I had to have a clean and polish and pick up my bite guard as I've bitten my way through three now! I can't stop clenching, I don't know why I do it but even during the daytime, if I'm stressed, I find I'm clenching my teeth, so at night I have to wear this or I wake up with toothache. Anyway, 70 quid lighter (I'd already paid 50), DD came by after French as it's in the same town, and we went off to meet W and have lunch.
This afternoon we've watched a couple of episodes of the Gilmore Girls, had a snooze and spent 45 mins on the phone to our internet provider to see if the problem with the web on the PC was on their end or ours. The nice gentleman confirmed it's the PC - which we guessed as W's Mac works - so now we have to get it repaired. I bet it's a blimmin virus. Whatever antivirus you have on the PC they seem to get through. Such a foo, as the lovely (English) Maria would say.
In other news, I had a lovely evening watching Comic Relief yesterday. Well, nice for the funny bits, and very sad for the educational bits in between that talk about infant and maternal mortality or HIV in Africa. So sad. We raised some money at work yesterday, and I shall make another donation too.
Also, how could I forget, I have been duly chastised and told to let you know that DD has been accepted for Camp America this summer! All they have to do now is place her and I admit I won't believe it till she gets a placement. Then it'll be a rush to get a new passport and possibly a visa (unless it falls under the visa waiver programme), a new outdoorsy wardrobe full of summer clothes in her new size, and off she'll be before I know it! Exciting or what?
I have some more interesting meetings coming up this week and next, so within a couple of weeks I should have some news for you. Sorry to be so cagey....!!
Right, off I go. Got to find something to cook for the hungry people upstairs (I'm down in the basement). Nite nite x
Hi hon!
Just been catching up with my blog reading and just love your DD's new haircut! Good on her for her Camp America placement - hope she really enjoys it.
