I did it again! This time I lost 5 1/2 lbs in the week. I have NO clue how I did that... I didn't feel right all week, not counting everything properly and all that. But I suppose the good thing is SW is so ingrained in my brain now, even when I'm not doing it properly I'm not overeating. I won a huge bowl of fruit again. And that takes my total to 1 stone 3 lbs, or 17 lbs in 6 weeks. I'm not displeased with THAT result!
The other good news is that I'm not diabetic - and as far as I can tell I haven't got a clotting problem, although one of my results was quite far out of the normal range, so I'll need to see my GP for that. Today I had another rubbish journey to work, over 2 hours due to various problems, and I was about this close to handing in my notice, but then in the afternoon I got given THREE boxes of chocolates by one of our suppliers to thank me for being so wonderful (he he he!) and then I got the good news at the weigh-in, so by tonight I was feeling a lot happier. I took one of the boxes of chocolates round to my colleagues so they could help themselves; one is liqueurs which I won't eat anyway, and the third is a box of truffles which I've hidden for next time DD and I get the munchies. Now I know how many points/syns to count per chocolate, I don't feel like I can't have any. I just have to keep an eye on how many I eat....
Oh, and I got a surprise email from my mum, who has a new laptop and who emailed us all by herself to tell us the news. It was SO exciting! I'm thrilled. She got her previous laptop not that long before she had her stroke, and she had always resisted joining the 21st century, saying she liked her typewriter. This way we can keep in touch so much easier. All in all, today wasn't too bad!
Mustn't forget: one of my fave pieces of music, always reminds me of Trappes and 1971 and my brother coming home on leave from the Navy.... "It must be love" by Labbi Siffre, is the track playing on this cool advert: click here. Every time I hear/see it I get transported back to that time. Ah, memories :)
Oh music can bring back memories, wonderful isn't it.
So good to read you are losing weight Jen, great. And your are feeling great too, wonderful. I don't know exactly how much it is cause we don't use lbs but kilo's and pounds. But according to me it must be about 7 kilo's? Just wonderful.
