How many times has that happened? You catch yourself about to say "have a nice weekend" to someone as you leave the office, and then realise it's not Saturday tomorrow after all! Oh well, at least it's nearly Friday. I can't wait for Saturday because the OH should be coming back from Jamaica and I've really missed him. He's my best friend and I miss just being able to pick up the phone to speak to him. I suppose that's quite something, after 9 and some years! Nearly as long as I was married to DD's dad - wow!
So I forgot to post pictures of the chocolate fairy cakes we baked on Sunday. They must have magical weight-loss qualities because I managed to lose 5 1/2 lbs even though I helped DD eat half of them... Well, not quite half. And we did give a load to the neighbours too!
Yum!
I've been trying to remember my dreams, and my personal development course encourages me to write them down as soon as I wake up. I've been waking at 3am or whatever, grabbing a pen and trying to write. It's actually quite weird because a) I'm SO tired I can hardly hold the pen and the scrawl is illegible and b) when I read them back, the notes I've written are so far from what I actually remember it's not even funny! For example, last night I had a dream and I remembered that in it I was driving around the countryside with the boss, very fast, before he decided to invite everyone round to MY HOUSE for aperitifs. I remember I was upset the house was a mess and his wife taking my canapés and whizzing them in a food processor, but the notes were even more detailed than that and it was hysterical reading them back today. Apparently (in the dream) I vomited, my boss was kind but I still had to work (lol), and then when they came to the house his wife enjoyed the fact that it was very "simple" but my boss hired a chef and I was upset! So funny. I do NOT remember that at all. (the funniest thing being that they are millionaires and I would absolutely NOT EVER invite them back to mine, and his wife would definitely NOT enjoy the "simple" nature of my set-up!!). Then I read the dream from yesterday and it was even stranger, because I do not remember anything about that one except one lone detail. Bizarre or what? You should try it!
Of course, how could I forget? Yesterday I got my first "ain't you lost a lot of weight?" in an admiring voice, from our office manager Pauline. Love that woman!
Right, time for bed; I promised myself it would be an earlier night tonight. Oops.
Jen you need to step away from the cheese at bed time!!!

I put on last week, I am on a real downer at the moment.(and its causing me to put on!!)
