A big thank you for all your messages! I love getting comments - especially the ones that aren't trying to sell me Viagra or other enlarging implements, if you get my drift....
Today was quite tough. I was up bright and early, and wide awake until I started to nod off again on the long Tube journey. I really wasn't looking forward to going to work, as my mind is whirring away, full of ideas and stuff to do - work is getting in the way of my life LOL. I was pleased to see my colleagues back from hols though; they are very sweet and we all get on very well, which is vital when you work in a small team.
One of the things I had planned today was to start one step at a time to change things in my life. The one thing I'm starting with is Flylady's "go shine your sink". That may sound strange, but if you think about it, coming downstairs in the morning to a pile of dishes is NOT the happiest way to start the day. Since the dishwasher died things have been getting on top of me a bit. I usually wash up but leave the dishes to drip dry, and then DD puts them away. Or not. So Flylady said that when she started to change her life, she started with one thing, and that one thing was to make sure her sink was spotless every day, and bit by bit the rest of the clutter in her life started to clear up. I know it works, so that's my first step. There are a lot of others, just waiting to be taken, but the longest journey starts with one single step, doesn't it?
Anyway, before bed I just have to finish the sink, and pop down to the basement to get my boots as tomorrow's forecast is for 2 inches of snow.... Nite nite all, don't forget, ONE DAY AT A TIME!
