I'm covered in paint!

One of my new resolutions is to stop procrastinating. It's tough to break the habit of a lifetime!  Anyway, this morning I got up early, before DD was even awake, and had my usual breakfast (oatmeal), but I had to wait until she was up before I could paint because I needed a second person to help put the top half of the dresser on the dining table.  I've been working on it on and off all day, with a break after lunch because my stomach was playing up again. I went off to have a lie down, and I think I did fall asleep for a bit. Anyway, tonight the top half is finished, and I'll get the bottom bit done next weekend. I've been using cupboard paint, which is supposed to do away for the need for primer. It still needs two coats though, and it could probably even do with a third, but this'll do! I'm not painting the knobs at the moment because I want to change them for pretty glass or porcelain ones. Plus it is useful to have somewhere dry to hold on to....

Tonight I made a delicious SW minestrone. Even DD had most of hers (she's not a big fan of celery or cabbage!).  The very strange thing is that I haven't felt tempted by chocolate or crisps at all, so for the moment things are good. I am trying to memorise the feeling for when the going gets tough!
Anyway, the OH is on his way over, so I'd better tidy up. And then it's back to the grindstone tomorrow. Nite nite!

I love that dresser Jen, you've done a great job!

As for Mark, I'm afraid he hung up his DJ headphones a long while ago. He only does little guest spots here and there for internet radio stations now as he doesn't have his own equipment anymore, just stacks and stacks of records! Thanks for thinking of him though:)
