I just can't get my head round it. The terrorist suspects arrested in the UK this week seem to ALL be doctors, medical students and other NHS staff. How can that be? How can a doctor, who is supposed to have signed the Hippocratic Oath (wherein it states that they will "not harm anyone") think that's it's ok to go round blowing people up? As my friend Lou says, how can ANYONE think it's ok? But somehow, working for 6 years with lovely, caring, dedicated doctors just makes it even harder for me to understand. I won't stop getting public transport or going to London - well, I can't, I work there! - and we'll withstand all this just like London in the Blitz or when we had all those IRA bombs, but terrorism just seems to have reached a new low for me personally.
On a happier note, I have good things to look forward to; if the rain ever stops! Tomorrow I've been invited to see Joe Cocker at the Tower of London, through work. And in 13 days we are off on our hols. Someone told me today that France is supposed to get better weather after 12th July. Well I hope so!
Anyway, off to bed, so sleep tight everyone. Don't have any bad dreams!
