Had a nice lie-in today - until some eejit cold caller got me out of bed at 10.30am. I was awake, but luxuriating in that nice Sunday morning feeling. Anyway, I went down then, switched on the PC and emailed a complaint to the Telephone Preference Service because I signed up years ago, and shouldn't get cold calls. I had one during the week from another company too, so now I email the complaints immediately, which should result in them getting fined. Serve 'em right.
After that it was a quiet morning until DD came back from babysitting with my friend S and her kids. We had a bit of a chat, but she had a lot on, and had to get going. After that I really needed to go back into town to see if I could find some of those chipboard shapes and alphas that the local pound shop was supposed to be selling. Unfortunately for me, they didn't have any but I did get to buy some lovely, if cheap, work clothes for the warmer weather. The pics are a bit blurry because I took them without a flash tonight, and it's too dark really... I got 2 skirts, 6 t-shirts (I have to wear cotton and most blouses nowadays seem to be made of man-made fibres, which I detest) and a jacket for £100. The shop has a reputation of selling old-lady stuff, but they are improving their image and look at this purdy skirt I found for only £16:
I got two different blue tees, and this pendant, which is mother of pearl and has brown shades that will do for my natural linen look stuff, and blue shades in it which will also go with this, even though the light is wrong...
I then had to get some shoes, because I really only have black ones or my Crocs..... They can't have too much of a heel because of my arthritis, and these were soooo comfy:
Look at that inner sole - I love it. Very scrapbooky-swirly-paisley. Of course, it won't show, but I'll know that's what I'm wearing lol. Sorry about the blurriness. Will take some more in daylight..
Ok, so I know I've been on somewhat of a spending spree this weekend, but a) I haven't spent any money on myself, properly, for ages and b) damn, I'm worth it!
I love going out and buying clothes!
Looks like you go some bargains Jen and love the shoes!
