Today Claire and I went to Watford market to see if we could find "fake blood" for her Hallowe'en costume next week. We bumped into my ex colleague, Madeleine, which was SO nice! She was so excited to see me again she gave me a big hug LOL. She is so nice, I think she's like my mum, always smiling, always pleasant, never whingeing about bloody patients like I was... We have planned to go out sometime - roll on pay day. She was out shopping with her mum, so we stood and had a chat. Anyway, we went to look at fabric because I was trying to find some felt and material to make Christmas presents (top secret project!), and I stopped by the craft stall to buy a round hole punch (another top secret project...) before we popped into Primark quickly to get Claire some cheap t-shirts that can be covered in the fake blood for her "scenester who has been stabbed" outfit. Don't ask!!
On the way home we stopped by Marks & Spencer's so that Claire could see if her friend was there. She has a job in the food section apparently, but we didn't see her. However we DID pick up two bags of satsumas (buy one get one free) that are delish, and some meringue nests for dessert, and when we got the checkout I saw these flowers. It's such a long time since I treated myself to something like that, and they were so gorgeously pink, I treated myself to a small bunch. They are on my (I mean Wayne's) glass table in the living room, and bring a smile to my face every time I see them. The weather was gorgeous earlier on, much too warm for end October if you ask me, but this afternoon, while I was lounging on my bed reading a decorating mag it POURED. Actually, I love the sound of rain when I'm safe and sound and snug in my house....
Oh, and I've been told the little girl in the video (previous post) is Malaysian. Hope you like her, she also makes me smile every time! Hope you are smiling too :)
Funny how something as simple as a bunch of flowers can make us feel so good! They look lovely:)
