I can't believe how much I've achieved today! Normally I slob out at weekends, but what with this new healthy lifestyle we are trying to adopt, I kicked Claire off the PC (well, she's got lots of revision to do), and started ripping the living room apart! I get fed up with it because it's not decorated how I'd like it.
One day I'm hoping to rip up the carpet and polish the boards, put blinds up instead of curtains, change the fireplace and the ceiling fan.... and buy new sofas. Well, that's the plan LOL In the meantime, I've made it a bit tidier by removing one set of shelves, which I've relocated to my bedroom, and generally cut back on clutter. It's not perfect yet but it feels good.
Then I moved on to the garden, and while one lot of washing was drying I cut the grass with my shears (er, I don't own a lawnmower) to get rid of all the dandelions, and make it shorter so I can (hopefully) borrow Judy's mower to finish it off. I ripped up all the dead weeds and lavender bush and generally tidied up. I got another two loads of washing done today as well!
Now I've had a lovely shower and any minute now Stéphanie will be bringing Eloïse over for the night, with pizza and garlic bread, and we've got salad, and fruit jelly for pud; we're well away :)
ETA: How could I forget? First thing this morning there was a knock at the door and I got a big pizza box with beautiful Crate Papers from Anna at Bumblebee crafts, courtesy of Jen in Scotland. Crazy girl! I am so grateful to have found some lovely people online, people who just want to make another person happy... I hate asking for help, and however incredibly grateful I am, I feel bad too, because I don't want people to think I've blogged about this or posted on forums with this aim in mind! God, I hope no one thinks that!! (I'm sure they don't really!). I was too busy today, but tomorrow I'll put up some pictures.
honestly jen no one thinks that at all hun - and i do believe that you are not finished yet! ;) Congrats on getting as much as you did done its nice to sit down and just look around when youre finished isnt it!!

No Jen, I'm sure no one feels like that...it's just fun to "spoil" friends with goodies, that's all, LOL
Congratulations on all the stuff you've got done!
