I'm easy to please!

Notice anything different about the blog (apart from last year's summer banner making a comeback)?  I'm inordinately excited by this tiny happening hee hee. I made myself a little logo and it appears in the address bar, and also in your Favourites if you happen to have bookmarked my blog. Don't you think it makes my blog look more professional, huh? do I stand out from the crowd now?  Yeah!!!  If you were wondering, it is the Chinese symbol for "water" (shui) and I've always thought it looks like a J and a K, which are my initials. I might have it tattooed on my person at some point, but as I've been saying that for 15 years I'm not sure that'll ever happen. I'm a bit chicken.
Anyway, I have this song going round my head on repeat at the moment - it's everywhere, and I hope it doesn't get overplayed or I'll go off it...  It's such a summery, catchy tune, perfect for the kind of weather we are having today.
Talking of the beautiful weather, I have been out there catching some rays, but at the moment I'm trying to sort out a new photography blog so I've come back indoors.
In other news, I'm 90 quid poorer this weekend. I had to take the gorgeous Lyle to the vet yesterday, because he had a sore eye and a scabby back. Poor thing has conjunctivitis and I have to put ointment in three times a day, which he dislikes intensely. He also seems to have an allergy to flea saliva or something, as he's been gnawing at his lower back near the tail for a while now. His sister is fine, and they both have Frontline to protect against fleas, but there was a hiatus between two doses and I think that's when he got bitten. Poor boy!  The vet, who was a lovely Chinese lady, shaved a bit of fur off the worst bit where he'd made  himself bleed, and I have to cleanse it and put ointment on it. She kept exclaiming how beautiful he was, and how good. He's the best tempered cat you ever could wish to meet, bless him, and he put up with all our ministrations without complaining a bit. He's now flaked out on the new wicker chair, having been out in the sunshine all morning.
Ooh, and before I forget, I have a "gig" to take some pictures for my dear friend Dizzy Lee who is having a party for her wedding anniversary next month. I hope I do her proud...

I hope that Lyle gets better soon.

Love the little symbol Jen, it looks very smart! We have the same problem with Milo re the scratching and biting. The poor thing goes around furless on his belly for part of the year due to it! Hope Lyle recovers soon:)
